Mailmeteor turns a spreadsheet and your own inbox into personalized outreach with follow-ups, built by an independent two-founder team in Paris

Mailmeteor

Personal-feeling email outreach, sent straight from Gmail, Outlook and your sheets

Jean Dubrulle was working on partnerships at STATION F, the giant Paris startup campus, when he hit a familiar wall: how do you keep a human relationship with hundreds of partners at once? The mail merge add-ons he tried felt complicated and asked for a lot of access to private data. So he and Corentin Brossault, a legal counsel turned developer, built their own over a few weeks. It reached Google's marketplace in April 2019 and spread by word of mouth before a Product Hunt launch made it Product of the Day and Product of the Week.

The idea is beautifully simple. Your contacts live in a Google Sheet or Excel file, your email lives in your normal inbox, and Mailmeteor merges the two. Every field can be personalized, from the subject line to attachments, so each message arrives looking like you typed it by hand.

Where it shines

This is outreach with good manners. Because emails go out from your own Gmail, Outlook or Zoho account, they read as genuine one-to-one notes. You choose how many emails go out each day and the delay between them, and Mailmeteor stays within the provider's sending limits. Paid plans add open and click tracking, scheduling, and follow-up sequences that fire when someone replies, opens or clicks. Newer additions include contact finding and email verification, plus an AI assistant for Gmail that helps sort your inbox and draft replies in your own tone.

Who will love it

Founders reaching out to investors and early customers, recruiters contacting candidates, freelancers pitching clients and small sales teams running warm outreach will all feel at home. If you already keep your contacts in a spreadsheet and live in Gmail, start on the free plan, send a small personalized batch, then switch on follow-ups once you see the replies coming in.

Outreach that reads like you wrote every email yourself, because it comes from your own inbox.

Common questions about Mailmeteor

What is Mailmeteor?
Mailmeteor is an email outreach and mail merge tool that sends personalized emails from your own Gmail, Outlook or Zoho account using contacts from Google Sheets, Excel or other sources. It adds tracking, scheduling, follow-ups and an AI inbox assistant for Gmail. It was founded in Paris in 2018 by Jean Dubrulle and Corentin Brossault.
Does Mailmeteor have a free plan, and how is it priced?
Yes. Mailmeteor has a free plan that needs no credit card, with a daily sending allowance. Paid plans are priced per user and add more sending volume, real-time tracking, scheduling, attachments and follow-ups, with custom pricing for large organizations.
Who is Mailmeteor best for?
It is best for founders, freelancers, recruiters, nonprofits and small sales teams who want personal, one-to-one style outreach from their own inbox rather than newsletter-style blasts.
What makes Mailmeteor stand out?
Compared with full email marketing platforms, Mailmeteor sends from your own email account so messages look personal, keeps your contact data in your own spreadsheet, and lets you control sending limits and delays to protect deliverability. It also logs to CRMs like HubSpot or Salesforce through their BCC address.
