Hunted.Space turns Product Hunt launch day into a live scoreboard, so you always know where you stand

Hunted.Space

The launch-day scoreboard Product Hunt never built for itself

Anyone who has launched on Product Hunt knows the ritual: refresh, refresh, refresh, text a friend, refresh. For the first few hours the leaderboard is deliberately fuzzy, so you are guessing whether you are winning. Hunted.Space fills that gap. It pulls launches from the Product Hunt API and lays them out as dashboards, with upvote counts, comments and a measure it calls upvote speed, meaning how many votes a product is picking up per hour.

It is a side project with a real following. Dan Mindru, a developer known for shipping small tools in public, built it with two collaborators and announced it on Product Hunt in July 2023. The site also carries a launch calendar, daily, weekly and monthly history, and a handful of guides on picking a launch day. There is no paywall and no sign-up in sight, which is refreshingly rare in the launch-tool corner of the internet.

Where it earns its place

The real value is before your launch, not during it. Scroll the history and you can see which days are crowded, how quickly winning products gathered votes, and what a normal comment count looks like in your category. The upvote speed chart also shows exactly how momentum builds hour by hour for the products that win. For a founder planning their first launch, that is a better homework session than most paid courses.

The best way to use it

Start a few weeks out. Open the launch calendar to see what is already booked, read the guides on picking a launch day, and study the history for launches like yours. On the day itself, the stats refresh every five minutes straight from the official Product Hunt API, and the early rankings show where you stand in those first four hours. Check in, enjoy the climb, then go reply to comments.

A free, nerdy scoreboard for the most stressful 24 hours in a founder's year.
